Okay, okay, it’s the first day of camp, I know. But I’m going to go ahead and belt out some unrestrained optimism while it’s untarnished.
Secondary- We all knew going in we needed Lee and/or Underwood to make strides. Pat Lee looking good and making plays. Sam Shields, of all people, making a surprise ray of light today at CB? Awesome start.
DL: Sounds like Pickett is off to a good start at DE, and do I need to say it? Justin Harrell gets a few nods as looking strong and agile today, getting some push. Keep that back together, Justin!
Punters: Again, a area of concern heading in, and coming out of day 1 It sounds like we saw what we needed to see from them. Hope they keep it up and kick it up even further. Hopefully Bryan will be an iceman once they start rushing him- something I don’t think he’s -ever- experienced?
Aaron, at one point, you tweet’d that Quinn Johnson was a “Monster”. Was that a statement of stature, or was he just bulldozing a sled or blocker, or was he doing well in drills? Inquiring minds want to know.
Go Pack!!
He was demolishing a blocking sled.
the bird was a comorant
What is the deal with Lang as Sutton’s backup? Spitz is Well’s backup with Barbre behind College.
IMO Spitz and Lang are in the wrong positions.
This does not make sense.
After reading that:
I’m expecting Breno to be on the roster this season.
We have got to find a way to utilize Shields speed.
Brad Jones thing, maybe not a big deal. THIS TIME. Adalius Thomas anyone? Backup?
Pat Lee… you go.
J-Harrell, make us all forget the last few years. Dude could be a beast in this D.
Tramon, we’re counting on you Bud. FOCUS!
Poor bird.
GBP 4 LIFE
I loved the updates cheeseheadtv…so glad I found this site. I am incredibly excited to see how training camp pans out. Among the most interesting players I want to see is Pat Lee. I am wondering if we couldn’t see some very special things from this guy. In fact, I have to wonder if there aren’t a couple big reasons the Pack didn’t get any secondary help this offseason…
1) They knew they had some great talent on the team and didn’t need to look any further and
2) I have to wonder if they don’t plan on attacking the pass defense issue in other ways. Obviously, a stronger pass rush is among them, but I also wonder if we might not see more of Chillar…and perhaps even a safety (Bigby????) playing some cover LB???…just an out-there thought
Oh, and SAM SHIELDS!!! LOVE IT!
Poor bird, indeed.
Thanks for the kind words about the site. It means a lot.
Just a thought. Do you think DB’s and Receivers would benefit catching balls in a darkened Don Hutson Center illuminated only by a strobe light? The idea would be to improve hand eye coordination…just a thought.
