Today...Really?

So Mike McCarthy hasn't spoken to the media since his season ending press conference on December 31st. And now he's choosing Martin Luther King Jr. Day to break his silence?

I understand that the hiring of Capers is good news and he has an obligation to get in front of the media at some point, but really - he's been silent for this long, two more days would have killed him? (Obviously, tomorrow's inauguration would be another bad day to choose...) I also understand that this is a business where games are played on Christmas Day, so it's not as though holidays are untouchable.

Again, I understand the nature of the beast. I just don't like the beast.

I'm glad that we finally have a DC but I don't like the timing of McCarthy's press conference. Seems inconsiderate. Even the Jets are waiting till Wednesday for their press conference introducing their new coach.

Let's see, Washington and Lincoln have "white sales" to celebrate their day. Your objection to MM's presser is a stretch. Many businesses, school districts, state and city governments are business as usual today. Let's not be so sensitive about something that is not that sensitive to begin with.

How about I'll be sensitive about what I choose to be and vice-versa. ;)

Just try not to be oversensitive. The Giants, Jets, and Rams all made anouncements today too.

Personally, I am appalled the NFL plays their games on the sabbath.
