Ticket Sales Point Toward Packers-Lions Rivalry Heating Up
The get-in ticket price on the secondary market to Sunday's Packers-Lions game is 22 percent more than the usual Green Bay home game.

The Green Bay Packers welcome the Detroit Lions to Lambeau Field in Week 5, with both teams headed in opposite directions. The Lions stand atop the NFC North with an impressive 3-1 record, while the Packers return from a bye week at just 1-2.
While it’s not the norm, now isn’t the time to be bashful about these Lions, who have twice unleashed new weapon Reggie Bush, and got by without him for a win on another occasion. The real question, however, is if the Packers are prepared. After blowing out the Washington Redskins at home in week two, Green Bay didn’t look like an elite team on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals, who they fell to late, thanks to a lost fumble that was returned for a touchdown.
We know the history here. Green Bay dominates Detroit at Lambeau and has since 1992. That would be an 0-22 mark in the last 22 tries. But records were made to be broken, right? The Lions hope so and the Packers most certainly hope not, as what is expected to be one of the NFL’s top shootouts of Week 5 could play a hugen hand in deciding the division.
Needless to say, with so much history enveloped in this one, as well as so much riding on an early season game, it’s no shocker than it’s $322 on average to catch it live. In fact, just the get-in price is a staggering $147 on average. That’s 22% more than Green Bay Packers tickets usually go for home games, meaning this division rivalry is heating up considerably.
While Detroit’s and Green Bay’s explosive offenses will be the hyped battle here, the true deciding factor of this game could be found in the trenches. Will Green Bay protect Aaron Rodgers and snuff the run on the other side, or will Detroit’s aggressive defensive line help the Lions raise their flag in Lambeau for the first time in almost two decades?
We can’t be certain who will emerge as the victor, but it’s undoubtedly going to be one of the more entertaining NFL clashes of Week 5.

The truly interesting thing is how many season ticket holders are actually just scalpers in green and gold clothing. Eff all those who inflate ticket prices for something they don't give a damn about.

This is going to be a great game. But, I don't know what everyone is getting so over the top about. They should just go out and have some fun. It's just a game. Doesn't matter if they win or not. Their check will still roll in. Take care of yourself. Take care of your family. If hurt, tell someone. Stay out of the game. Don't get permanently injured. It's not worth it. After the game, stop by, if you have the time, and pick up something nice for the family. That's what's important. Take care of yourselves. Don't concern yourself with winning. If it happens great, if not, there is a big hug waiting at home.

I would spend a bunch of money to see the Packers. I have over the years. But let's not get this all out of preportion. It's a fun game. Not win or lose. They play it to continue the legacy of the team and pay respect to their originating states. Who cares about ticket sales? I think that you should buy a ticket to the team you are rooting for and go with it. It's just a game. Nothing serious. Yes they are being paid millions of dollars,but we let that happen. Don't complain now. Aside from that, it's fun. They collect, we get all kind of bent out of shape because our team isn't winning. We've lost sight. It's fun. It's a game. Players, take care of yourselves and your families. Winning will happen if it's right.
