Hopefully this has been worth the wait but we now have details for the October 15th & 16th Throwback Weekend activities.

Hopefully this has been worth the wait but we now have details for the October 15th & 16th Throwback Weekend activities.

Saturday

Tweet-Up at The Abbey Bar (give'em a follow @The AbbeyBar) in De Pere, WI beginning @ 7:30 PM

We have the top level of The Abbey Bar reserved just for us so be prepared to fill it up. We'll have complimentary Lite & Bud Light on tap as well as a cash bar for those who wish to purchase other libations. Expect giveaways & door prizes and we'll also have a limited supply of official Throwback Weekend T-shirts available for sale.

Sunday

Tailgate at the Green Bay Distillery beginning @ 9:00 AM

We have spots reserved at the Green Bay Distillery for Tailgating Sunday morning before the game. Please note, reserved does not mean free so there will be a $20 charge per vehicle to park there but we figure that's a small price to pay to have us altogether. We'll be providing brats, burgers & condiments and we're asking if possible please bring a dish to pass. You will be responsible for you own beer/drinks that morning as well. There are a few small details to work on the Tailgate for Sunday but we'll make sure to pass along any relevant information as it is decided.

Weekend in General

We will be taking donations both Saturday & Sunday to offset the costs of putting this all together. Any money remaining will be donated to the Wisconsin Early Autism Project (http://wiautism.com). Also please make sure to take care of our bartender at The Abbey Bar Saturday night whether you're drinking the 'free' beer or not. If the weekend is successful (everyone has fun, no arrests, etc) we'll seriously consider making this an annual type gathering. As for post-game on Sunday, we're not officially planning anything but I know quite a few of us just plan on going back to the GB Distillery so of course anyone and everyone is welcome there.

So there it is folks. We're looking forward to a phenomenal time and we hope you are too. Please direct any questions to [email protected].

As a De Pere native, I am going on record that if bubbles wind up in the East De Pere fountain, I did not do it (though Rehor may be a suspect.) I have been accused many times over the years of being the guilty culprit. But becaus of either sheer apathy or maybe my goody two shoes tendencies I have never actually put bubbles in the fountain. Besides, you would now if I was the fountain bomber. It would be instant mash potato flakes. Nothing like 500 pounds of insta-spuds to start your day.

Just bought two tickets for Throwback Weekend for my wife and me. This will be her first time to Lambeau!

We're coming in from NYC. Any recommendations on a place to stay Saturday night? We will have a car.

CAN'T WAIT!

KCNYC,

Honestly, a hotel anywhere in the entertainment district (and really anywhere in GB Metro, for that matter) is probably going to be very, very difficult to secure at this point (even for a non-prime opponent).

Other posters that really in-the-know might know a couple secrets, but all I can suggest is start dialing/browsing...but be prepared to go to Appleton, at least. I live in a 5000 person town 35 miles north of GB and it has 1 dumpy motel and 1 nicer hotel (with probably 30ish rooms), I'd be very surprised if it's not fully booked.

Ok, actually, I'm bored at work and did some searching...so sorry to hijack this posting.

There are a FEW hotels w/ rooms available for Saturday night, but either are $300, kinda far away, or sort of sketchy. For the record, from what I could tell, still has rooms for what appeared to be ~ $90. NOTE: Most hotels on home Packer weekends require a 2 night minimum stay (or will charge you for 2 nights even if you have no intention of staying). If you're on Twitter, send me a DM @brewfangrb. I'll be happy to help, if I can.

This is perfect! I work Saturdays until typically 7:15-7:30 right here in De Pere. Happy I'll be able to put faces with some of the great follows I have. Hopefully, the Brewers (I know, I know) will make an NLCS discussion or 2 relevant.

Now...I just need to convince my sister or her mother-in-law to sell me tix for the game!
