So far it's been a bit concerning for the Dallas Cowboys as they've been a sloppy bunch, with some concerns about the offensive line and defense. The Arizona Cardinals have much the same offensive line issues, and no run game.
Has anything changed in a week? Here are three things to watch this afternoon at 4:30pm EST on NFLN.
1) The Cowboys turned the ball over too many times last week and have to get that under control. While this is a potent offense, there's no way they can continually overcome bad mistakes. Some of it was the fault of second stringers, but overall the team needs to tighten up it's play. Especially in the NFC East where they face teams determined to turn mistakes into points.
2) The Cardinals still lack any clarity in the backfield, save that things look grim for Ryan Williams. Rookie Stepfan Taylor had a good first game and Rashard Mendenhall and rookie Andre Ellington are both hurt. This is an offense in real need of a run game to support the pass and keep the heat off Carson Palmer behind a mediocre offensive line. Right now, they don't seem to have it.
3) Speaking of running back issues, is DeMarco Murray going to hold onto the starting job and if the answer is yes, then for how long? Unable to stay healthy, Murray now has Phillip Tanner, Lance Dunbar and Joseph Randle to contend with. Even if he does hold the job, it might not be for long. Keep an eye on the upstarts today and see who stands out.
