Thompson Thought Moss Couldn\’t Run

Now, this is Al Davis, who is clearly insane. But it’s an interesting nugget about Randy Moss from a one-on-one conversation he had with Raider beat guy Tim Kawakami after yesterday’s marathon Raider press conference:
…you know how many teams turned him down. That guy in Green Bay thought he couldn’t run any more.
“That guy”, of course, is Ted Thompson.

And he thought it was time to “move on” from the most valuable QB of all time.
Yeah, I’m still a bit bitter.
Of course, Thompson telling Davis he thought Moss couldn’t run anymore could very possibly have been Thompson trying to drive Moss’ value down.
Exactly. “I’m not giving a third-round pick for a guy who can’t run anymore!”
What Keith said.
Yes, Lostinutah and Keith, TT was talking about trading for a player he didn’t think was good. He was going to discuss giving up one of his cherished draft picks for an expensive stiff that had 10 years in the league and hadn’t done anything for the past 2 at the time of the trade talks. Because TT is all about the “now” about spending money for name players because as we’ve seen in the past 4 years that has been his m.o. You rocket scientists have him pinned.
Seriously can we give a test to all Packer fans to see whether or not they have brains so they are allowed to post their opinions on the internet?
One more thing, if that drooling putz who runs the Raiders is so smart – why did he trade a great player for a lousy 4th round pick? Does he look smart for doing so? What’s his record in the past 5 years? Why’d he let Woodson go?
Let’s thank the lord we don’t have a senile idiot running the GBP.
Classy.
