Thompson Should Look At Holliday

Greg Bedard stirs the pot here in regards to the Packers possibly looking at Vonnie Holliday, who is set to be released by the Dolphins. I don't know if Thompson would even think about bringing in someone Holliday's age, but I think it would immediately help in two areas: veteran leadership (that was for you DDD) and experience in Capers' system. At this stage in his career, Holliday should be able to be signed at a Packer friendly rate, and he certainly has some gas left in the tank. I would absolutely love this move.

Like Taylor, what's to lose. I guess they would both have to clear waivers before they could talk to GB? Not sure how a cut works during FA.

After four years in the league players become 'vested veterans' and immediately become free agents once they are cut.

the more people with experience in the 3-4 the better if you ask me. Maybe he and Pickett combined could make for a serviceable NT for the year.

Check that last comment, I didn't realize they had Holliday playing DE.

after some minor research - i would love such a move as well. i was disappointed when he left -- is the reason i haven't heard a thing about him because he was playing in 3-4's as an end, or because he was in kc and miami, or both? his numbers have been pretty good.

go get him ted.
