  3. alfredomartinez says:

michael strahan has nothing on the original teeth POWER GAP that mr. lombardi sports…lol i love that shit!

  4. Ron LC says:

Hit em in da crotch man! Are you listening Daryn?

  5. PackersRS says:

He makes it look like football is a complicated game…

And, there, you see the difference between the Lombardi’s Packers and the rest. Vince was not only the best motivator this game ever saw, but he was also one of the best in the fundamentals of the game.

Yeah, I know, MM talks about fundamentals all the time. But it’s not working. Perhaps he should make a video or something…

  6. PackerBacker58 says:

I say we bring back this style of blocking

  7. Jersey Al says:

Nice find! Do you know where this was taken from?

  8. Astyak says:

I say we need to show this to the offense to remind them how to avoid some penalties next year. The time used watching this would be much better spent than another conversation about pad level.

  9. Glorious80s says:

Yes. In this the year of Lombardi (a film and a Broadway play), the coaches and team will hopefully take inspiration for a title msrch to glory. Bring the trophy home, again!

  10. FITZCORE1252 says:

That’s a modern day treasure. The original should be in the Smithsonian. I don’t know quite how to feel about those ‘high-water, Capri’s’ that coach is wearing though… maybe they were calling for rain?

  11. Cuphound says:

You can believe that Lombardi was a teacher before he ever was a coach. The man’s clarity and precision are awe inspiring. And Aaron’s title is just how I teach essay writing whenever I begin a lower division class. “Ladies and gentlemen, this… is a football.”

Amazing how a old a guy can get and still believe in heroes.

  12. Glorious80s says:

For those covering training camp this year, it would make an interesting comparison of the current teaching with this tape.

Also, ccording to Maraniss’ “When Pride Still Mattered,” VL was a believer in zone blocking going back to the late 1940′s-50′s.
Am waiting further progress in reading to see if that changed.
