They Ran Out of Number 5 Jerseys

They Ran Out of Number 5 Jerseys

That's the punchline of an excellent Paul Hornung - Brett Favre joke told by Jerry Kramer at Packer Fan Fest. There's a great conversation about Donny Anderson's $450,000 signing bonus and Ray Nitchke's grudge as well as Donny Anderson making the case that in the modern era of football (Superbowl Era) everyone just wants to be like the Packers - but don't take my word for it..watch the video.

This was very cool and guys for putting a Jerry Kramer video up here. He is one of my all time favorites and quite a nice man.
The very first book I remember reading was a autographed copy of Kramer's "Distant Replay" that my grandfather had given me for a gift when I was 6.
I acquired a bootleg Mitchell & Ness Jerry Kramer jersey off ebay a few years ago for 40 bucks. It really is a well made jersey and when I wear it out in public I always get compliments on it. Especially older gentlemen, they tell me even though they were not Packer fans they remember the guy and how great a player he was.
