If I have to hear one more damn espn commentator talk about the Vikings being a super bowl contender I am going to lose it. They make a few moves in free agency and Jawerski is already handing out super bowl rings. They can’t run Peterson 80% of the plays without teams catching on. And Mr. Jackson, if and when he does ever have to throw — who’s the ball going to? Berrian?? Please. Vikings can look forward to another early off season.

Keith – I watched the Seattle game on NFLN as well. Jackson looked good throwing against the Seahawks, just think he’ll never truly ‘have the light go on’ so-to-speak that all really good quarterbacks have happen at around this point in their careers. He could, of course, prove me wrong. But I have seen no evidence that he can make plays when they are not handed to him. That game last week is a perfect example – he hit his first read almost every time against really vanilla defenses. Well done sir. But when things break down, and he’s forced to think on his feet, he almost always has negative play (sack, pick, etc)

I think this could be the year the Vikings actually do well. Every seven or eight years it seems to happen, like the 15-1 season. But I really hope the Packer coaches blow those comments up and use them for motivation.

What jerks. I would like to remind them of the total number of points they managed to score in Lambeau last year – 0. May that be repeated just due to karma for these comments.

Haha, wow. I could feel the vitriol through the screen.

However, I think the Vikings are a bit better than you give them credit for. I mean, they do get to play Detroit and Chicago (who I am not high on at all this season) twice this year. So they have a really good chance of being 3-1/4-0 in games with those two.

And you would be surprised… there’s some buzz out there that Tarvaris Jackson is improving. Obviously, I’ll believe it when I see it (and I wasn’t impressed watching the replay on NFLN the other night), but still… just saying.
