I brought this up on railbird yesterday, but I feel that Linsley deserves some offensive rookie of the year nominations. He has been great.
OL usually don't receive any votes for it, but what other rookie has played as much as him and has played at as high of a level as he has?
Yes, playing between 2 really good Guards helps, but he still has played really, really well...
I saw yesterday on Ian Rapoport's twitter account that Calvin Pryor didn't play a single defensive snap.
I think the Packers should be very happy with the production they are getting from Clinton-Dix. Yes he is making some rookie mistakes, but he still is playing well overall.. I really look forward to seeing how he develops.
I am still waiting to see Adams and Rodgers break out.
Overall this has to be one of Thompson's best drafts overall.
Last week Rob Demovsky reported in ESPN that "ProFootballFocus.com rates Linsley as the NFL's fourth-best center to date this season, and it's in large part because of his run blocking. Only three centers in the league have better run blocking grades from PFF than Linsley."
Is there any other NFL rookie that's ranking as highly in his position as Linsley? Probably not.
Yes, Linsley deserves nomination as offensive rookie of the year.
The only other two rookie interior olineman outplaying corey are Joel Bitonio of the Browns and Zach Martin of the Cowboys, but both of those guys were top 40 overall picks, while Linsley was a 5th round pick. We definitely got the best value, and it looks like we have the center of the future between Linsley and Tretter.
Man R .Rodgers is a big really wide dude. Can not see how he played the slot at Cal. Anyway I think he is going to be a good solid TE , especially as the weather gets colder. As for Linsley, how can anyone ask more out of a rookie center, best pick of all so far.
He approached the game's toughest position like a surgeon. Despite being able to fit a football in a keyhole, the dominating team results just never materialized.
The Packers kick off their three day mandatory minicamp on Tuesday which will be the last work the roster will get in as a group prior to the start of training camp.

Did Jayrone Elliott see the field? Anyone notice him?

He played later in the game. I didn't see him really do anything to note, but I didn't watch him that closely either.

He played four snaps toward the end. I took mercy on Corey and didn't include Elliott to save him editing time. ;)

How does that old sonofabitch have a job? Linsley isn't even among the numerous 'almost made the cut' guys.
