The Redemption of Daryn Colledge
By PackerAaron
As the President of the Bench Daryn Colledge Society, I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to commend the second year guard for the stellar game he had against the Vikings this past Sunday. Was it perfect? Far from it. I saw two instances in the first quarter alone where he came off the ball far too high, and several times took poor to just plain bad angles on blocks that would have sprung a screen pass or a shovel pass for a far larger gain.
However, in spite of the inconsistencies, Colledge more than held his own on the sweeps and draws the Packers ran and overall did a good job of getting off his initial block and getting to the second level. Plus, he took McCarthy's public challenges as a man, and as a consummate Packer, as we heard in last week's podcast. Here's hoping this is just the start. I'm cautiously optimistic that he's turning a corner.
