Good: Don't Break defense
Bad: Very Bendy defense
Ugly: Return game and kick coverage teams

6-1 though baby! Next few games will tell us whether they're contenders or pretenders.

Yeah, I wish Trevor Davis was wearing a Packers uniform too. We could have used him today.

You can't tell me Davis isn't a better return man then Sheppard? Or even a better option at WR. If we want to win the Super bowl this year we are going to need someone to return kicks.

Better than Shepherd but still not good enough. Our special teams in general are not stellar at the moment (but for two superb kickers).
Just as well Rodgers is comfortable starting drives from our own 15.

The Good, we continue to find ways to win. AR is rocking in the new system, the young wideouts are getting better. Welcome back Jimmy Graham!! Kicking game continues to be a strength, we are getting nearly 15 more yards per punt than two years ago, and Kevin King continues to improve. The bad, Defense still getting gashed, but Carr has been tossing the ball around at a 75 percent completion rate against the whole league. We really miss Savage on the back end.. No sacks....funny how spoiled you get. The Ugly...Tony Romo's haircut, the tackling. The Good far outweighs the bad and ugly...well, maybe not Tonys hair! GOPACKGO!

The Gold Package crowd really was subdued. I’ve found that they’re no match for the Green Package folks. It’s kind of embarrassing actually. Not sure what to do about it though—the Packers can’t threaten to take their tickets away....

We need Savage back more than we need Adams back to shore up the middle, the ugly today was too many chunk plays given up by the defense plus 0 sacks.

The great: Aaron Rodgers
The bad: Our defense and special teams giving up way too many yards
The ugly: What's up with our home turf? It seems like ice and we find our players slipping and sliding in another game.

Gotta wonder if the synthetic filament that gets woven in with the natural grass in that DD GrassMaster playing surface has been altered.

By the way.. DD Grassmaster has been used on international soccer and rugby fields for decades, and its reputation is not untarnished. Google up DD Grassmaster injuries... there are a number of organizations that have changed surfaces because they believe it contributes to player injury.

it's not Grassmaster anymore, in fact. since 2018 it's been a different surface, see Wikipedia for more info

Thanks for the info, I will look into it.

I can't believe I completely missed a major field renovation. I assume that means they did Nitschke field, too?

It seemed that most of the sliding happened early as players moved from sun to shade. My guess is that turf hadn't dried yet, but the rest of the field was dry.

Good:
- Rodgers and offense settling into a groove (finally)
- WRs and Jimmy Graham stepping up while Adams is out
- I think we came out of this game healthy for the most part...we'll see on Wednesday's injury report though
- Jones and Williams are a great 1-2 punch

Bad:
- Josh Jacobs ran all over us
- Special teams continues to concern me
- Crowd was sleepy...what the heck??

6-1!! Hard to believe we now have the same total of wins as we did last season. Bring on Kansas City!!

Couldn't recall the last time we were 6 -1, and someone reminded me of 2015 with McCarthy. This 6-1 feels a whole lot better, and carries a lot more weight to it. It's all good thus far,and we really could be undefeated. Best part is I can say it with real confidence.

I just watched the highlights of the bear game and saw a good missed tackle from Ha Ha, a bad missed tackle from Ha Ha and an ugly missed tackle from Ha Ha. On the fourth highlight Ha Ha wasn't in the picture. We are so much better off with Amos

Good: Packers Win against ok Oakland team
Bad: Packers play KC w/o Patrick Mahomes
Ugly: Trade deadline in 9 days. Will the Packers have a false sense of security having beaten the Lions, Oakland and possibly KC w/o Mahomes only to do nothing and let the trade deadline pass? Do we trust MVS, G. Allison, A. Lazard, J. Kumerow, D. Shepard? Or, do we try for A.J Green or a lesser E. Sanders?
We have to constantly improve this team!! This may be the only year that we rise and surprise. Sometimes there are no 2nd chances. We have to make some type of trade whether big or small before Oct 29th. Your only ad good as your last game and even though it is a team game, ultimately it is still the one on one matchups that win games.

I'm happy J. Graham played good. I believe he played good because fans were getting on his $$$ to do something. Or, is there a shot at getting A. Hooper TE Atlanta?

I'm happy the Packers have been throwing the ball down the field to the RB that I have been yelling for that we should have been doing since after the Dorsey Levens days. I still think K. Drake could be an easy catch for a 5th rd. pick. But, Vitale is good and should be used more.

I'm happy for Rodger's 350 TDs. Funny, the 350th went to J. Graham.

I'm happy for great defensive plays by BJ Goodson, Kevin King, Amos, Redmond, Smith Brothers, D. Lowry who is constantly improving, K. Clark, Alexander etc and Great Red zone defensive play. But, we are getting burned by the run.

One last note about the Kumerow catch that they say he stepped out of bounds.

Maybe he did, but maybe he didn't.

I remember a game that was almost exactly the same play and at least 3 camera angles showed that the WR foot had touched the white line!! And I was convinced that he stepped out of bounds. Would 3 different camera angles lie? No way. Then came the review!! But wait, another zoomed in different camera ANGLE came in and it showed without a doubt that the WR feet were in bounds!!

My point being we know its about angles. Is there another camera angle they missed ? Or, should have had in place? Or, a more zoomed in angle?

I think the Referees made the right call on Kumerow!!! TD!!

Good: what’s to come with this offense. It’s so nice to have a modern offense
Bad: Is this the only game we get with Romo? I couldn’t figure out why I was enjoying the game so much besides the beat down we were giving the raiders until I realized the color commentating was so damn good.
Ugly: The sleepless nights opposing Defensive coordinators are going to have once 17 is back. Love these young wideouts!

The funny thing is that LaFleur's Offense is less modern than McCarthy's IMO. What LaFleur is doing is what Holmgren did to a large extent.

Good: Matt LaFleur had some great schemes and guys were open all night. Rodgers was good, but he didn't have to carry the team by throwing into tight coverage every play. Guys were schemed open.

Bad: The young DBs like Jackson and Redmond getting beat regularly.

Ugly: Rashan Gary is a top 12 pick still not making much of an impact. Yeah, yeah "give him time". That's what everybody says when a player has been terrible. When he's good nobody says give him time to see if he regresses. It's perfectly fair to say that right now Rashan Gary is an absolutely horrible player and maybe someday that will change because he's still young, but that's the truth right now.

I brought my 12 year old daughter to this game.

The Good: That's one HELL of a memory for us to make! Rodgers was out of his mind, and with a B-unit of receivers to work with.

The Bad: The defense certainly wasn't terrible, but there were several coverage lapses that seem inexcusable.

The Ugly: The crowd only brought it on occasion (embarrassingly, the crowd at our first game, against the Saints two years ago when Rodgers was out was probably more vocal through the first 3 quarters). Luckily we had some loud cheers in our local section, and the experience was so positive we will have memories for years to come!

The Good...Aaron Rodgers...Rodgers was great today spreading the ball around, stepping into his throws, and using the entire field. Short, intermediate, and deep passes were all on the money. Watch that TD pass to Jimmy Graham...WHAT a beautiful pass. If Rodgers continues to play THIS way, this team will be a tough out.

Packers Red-Zone Defense... That hustle play by Martinez at the end of the first half was beautiful. YES, Martinez has some liabilities in coverage but he gives it his all every single week. He's the best ILB the Packers have had since Bishop who wasn't the greatest in coverage either.

The STUFF of Jacobs on 4th and goal...

The Kevin King interception. Amos got his hand on the ball and tipped it but King still pulled it in. Nice concentration...Probably harder than it looked.

Bad...Special Teams... I LIKE Shepard and actually think he could possibly help in the future but he's WAY to tentative running out returns. Teams are going to kick short to the Packers since Shepard rarely makes the 25-yard line.

ALL the WIDE OPEN receivers. Way too many times there were receivers running free, wide-open without a defender near them. That pass to the TE where he ran down to the 3 yard-line or so where BOTH Amos and Redman just watched him go by was brutal. BJ Goodson should NEVER be in coverage.

The UGLY... The inability to cover a TE. They need Savage back and to give Burks more playing time. I mean can he be any worse than what was happening Sunday?

The Great: Aaron Rodgers.
The Good: Packers OL especially on pass blocking. Our receivers especially the young WRs stepping up. Defensive turnovers by Martinez and King. Goal line stand, BJ Goodson. Alexander, Amos.
The Bad: Rushing defense, needs to tighten up.

I'm not concerned about Oakland receivers running open on some plays. We were playing an uncommon opponent, with a bye week to prepare and we were playing without Savage. Redmond made some good plays but he was out of position on a few of the Raiders big pass plays. We need Savage back or Green or maybe even put Twill back at safety. We gave up 17 points and had 2 takeaways and a goal line stand in the second half. After that a meaningless TD in garbage time. All in all a great win at home against a team coming off a bye week for the second week in a row. Thanks, Since '61

The good: Spreading the wealth to all those different receivers to the tune of 429 yards and a perfect passer rating.

The bad: Run defense

The ugly: Refs.....again
