\"That’s Not My Bailiwick\"

\"That’s Not My Bailiwick\"

That would be Ted Thompson's response to Pete Dougherty's question regarding any potential changes on the coaching staff. I love the word 'bailiwick' and am proud to be a fan of a team who's General Manager uses it properly in a sentence, and without irony.

With balliwik, Anna Karenina, and Crossing the Rubicon, all in one season?

Just listened to MM's Press Conference. I'm afraid, very afraid. Responsibility for the season MM's. Will review the film, will correct the problems, "will correct pad levels" (I added that), and, of course, will sit down with Bob and come up with some answers. By accepting responsibility just what did MM have to give up? Yeah, that's right - NOTHING.

Well, if next year doesn't change what then? I'm waiting for the transcript to come out at Packer, com to really get into some of his answers.

I took his presser a little differently. MM tiptoed around the issue of scheme/coaching changes very carefully. He was very careful not to say anything would be or would not be changed. If he knew he wasn't going to change any of the staff he would have said it, today in his presser. The truth is I think he's at the very least considering making changes. Ultimately I think he will make changes.

As far as him taking responsibility, he should, its ultimately his responsibility. We'll see what changes are made but I believe your going to see a new DC and possibly a new STC as well and I think you'll see the previous holders of those positions relieved of duty within the week.

PRC, Hope you're right. I was looking for a bit more information in his answers. That's why I'm scared.

I took it the same way as PRC

Packer Report was there and wrote the conference like a blog - it left me disappointed. No shouldering of the blame - acted like there wasn't any to pass around. No specifics, at all. You almost felt like he was "blaming the players" all over again.

At least half the Coaching Staff has proven they can't handle the job, and should be let go. MAC behaves like he's worried about how it would all reflect on him. Already tired of that response mechanism being used.

At the very least, MAC should be showing CheeseNation he has the stones to LEAD by example and is "ready" to get things done right. Point being, this fan isn't hearing what he knows we all should be. That alone should leave everyone suspicious about next season. We don't make the playoffs next year, that's it. It shouldn't be we get an option only once every 5 seasons. Packer Tradition demands better than what HC's Starr & Gregg gave us - there's no going back for this diehard.
