During the Super Bowl, there was a monster hit by Steeler backup linebacker Patrick Bailey when the Steelers were forced to free kick after their 4th Quarter safety that caused me to turn to my wife and say "THAT is why our special teams were so bad this year. We had slow backup linemen and backup tight ends who can't hit to save their lives trying to cover lightning quick guys on kickoff and punt coverage. The Steelers have a stable of young linebackers just dying to hit somebody because they run a 3-4 and thus they naturally have more linebackers on their roster than a 4-3 team." Mrs. Nagler proceeded to tell me not to talk for the rest of the game.
Well, it would seem that Mike McCarthy noticed the same thing. (No word yet on what his wife thinks.)
