Shawn Slocum Named Associate Head Coach at Arizona State

Former Green Bay Packers special teams coordinator Shawn Slocum has landed on his feet at Arizona State, the university announced on Monday:

Slocum was fired on Jan. 30 by the Packers after the team finished last in the Dallas Morning News annual special teams rankings.

With the Sun Devils Slocum will hold the same job he held with the Packers, coordinating special teams, but he was also named associate head coach and will be in charge of the outside linebackers.

“I am looking forward to working with Coach (Todd) Graham,” said Slocum in an article published by Arizona State. “I have followed his teams and success for a long period of time. I’m very impressed with the success of the Sun Devil football program. I am looking forward to bringing my family to Tempe and the ASU community and to competing for national championships at ASU.”
