Shareholders Allowed One Ticket to Annual Meeting in 2012

The annual Packers meeting of shareholders will take place on Tuesday July 24 at 9:30 a.m. at Lambeau Field.

The annual Green Bay Packers meeting of shareholders has been scheduled for Tuesday July 24 at 9:30 a.m. at Lambeau Field, rain or shine.

Shareholders will only be able to request one ticket due to the uncertainty that came with over 250,000 new owners being added through the team's fifth stock sale from last December through February of this year. In previous years, up to four guests were allowed.

In addition to previous sales, there are now over 360,000 shareholders in total. Lambeau Field has a capacity of approximately 50,000 for a meeting.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming many of our new shareholders to Lambeau Field for their first Annual Meeting this summer,” said Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy. “The expansion of the stadium will provide a dramatic backdrop for the meeting. I’m excited for the shareholders to see the progress of the work and the importance of their contributions.”

The meeting has been moved up from previous years because of the earlier than usual start of training camp due to the Packers opening their preseason schedule on a Thursday evening.

The formal notice of the annual meeting will be sent in mid-June and will include details on how to access proxy materials. The organization recommends accessing materials and voting online, as it is the most sustainable and resource-friendly method.

“We want to make sure we have the ability to welcome the shareholders who plan to come, and this will help us accommodate the increased attendance,” Murphy said. “These next couple years will see us transition to our much larger ownership group. After we see our attendance patterns for a year or two, we’ll be able to reevaluate the guest aspect for future meetings.”

New owner here. Is it terribly hard to get an extra ticket once you're there?

This is uncharted territory, Kevin. Owners were always allowed to bring guests in the past. This is the first year they won't be able to.
