Saturday Report: Packers Work On Red Zone, Blitz
Head coach Mike McCarthy said the Packers worked on red zone and blitz during Saturday's practice in preparation for the Super Bowl.
With the Super Bowl one week from tomorrow, the Packers got in their penultimate practice on Saturday while still in Green Bay.
"Good practice today," said McCarthy. "Finished about eight minutes ahead of schedule, so that gives you a little indication of the tempo. Thought the red-zone work was good. Blitz work was very good. Got a couple looks on film that we need to talk about. It was good work."
The Packers have one more practice tomorrow before leaving for Dallas on Monday. By that time, McCarthy says the Packers will have most of their preparation in place for their Super Bowl meeting with the Steelers.
"I feel good where we are, but we still have some work to do," said McCarthy. "We’re going to probably have I want to say about 90, 95 percent of our install in before we leave. We’re going to save some for the work in Dallas. Feel good about where we are so far in our preparation."
The Packers will practice on FieldTurf at Southern Methodist University inside their stadium while they're in Dallas.
McCarthy they have the use of an indoor facility at a local high school if needed.

Good to see Rodgers put Barnett and Finely in there place in the interview the other day. And then Barnett and Finely had to have the last cry on twitter. I can't see TT bringing Barnett back this year now, not with 2 of the last 3 seasons on IR, the contract to Bishop, Hawk will redo his contract and Barnett's big mouth.

Barnett's due $6 mil in 2011 ..... He must be incapable of realizing that turning 30 soon & being on IR is not conducive to gaining a contract from some other team that is close to his current contract .... In other words, his brainless tweets may cost him a few mil ..... (By being shown the door)
The 'twit' that tweeted ......

Not Ted's guy
+ Distracting Pain in the Ass
+ Overpaid
+ 19 missed games in the last 3 seasons
+ Hawk and Bishop are younger
