Sam Shields Reportedly Avoids Serious Injury

NFL Network reports the veteran cornerback is considered day-to-day after suffering a shoulder injury in Denver.

From Ian Rapoport:

Shields' absence was a major issue in Denver as the Broncos ate up Casey Harward and Damarious Randall.

Here's hoping he's ready to go when the Packers take on the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Good to hear. But The Panthers don't have a WR of note. If Sam isn't 100% sit him.

I agree if your new two draft picks can't cut it then again Ted did lousy job.

Is that there bottom line we missed shields. Hey Ted could have had some pretty good defensive backs via free agency to shore things up, but drafted two guys you never heard of and they aren't that good.

Good to hear about Shields, but it will be awhile before I forget seeing how he hurt himself completely whiffing on a tackle. And even longer before I forget seeing #29's back as he was getting torched again.
I watch the Bronco's a lot even if I'm not much of a fan and that was the most wide open I've seen their receivers all year. Their TE's had looked pitiful before last night. Palmer was painful to watch.

why would anyone be surprised. I have to watch the Vikings and they have 3 bone crushing dbacks that you don't want hitting you. They go 6'1 6'2 and 205 and are solid bodies.
I looked at the stats for this team on Fox and our guys are 5'10 ish, and 185 pounds and many went to div ia or div 1 schools that were never in the mix.
As they say you get what you give and we have weak sisters on D and wonder why we can't get off the field. How many three anb outs has this d had this year. Not many

Is anyone on this team not injured. When you draft late round guys who played for Ralph university you think they may not have the bodies and toughness to survive in the NFL. That has a lot to do with all this ankle and hamstring crap. Not in condition, not ready for prime time.

Did Ted - the answer is yes, draft a bunch of weak sisters on d. I mean look at these guys they are molded - 5'10 185 ish. Why? Because no one else wants guys this size they are too short, too slow and too frail to hold up and Ted has a whole team of these suckers and were wondering, ankle injuries, shoulder injuries, ham strings. Guyts missing three four weeks at a crack.
I got the Panthers by 14, There D will suffocate Rogers.

So he is DAY to DAY, yet couldn't finish the game? What the heck. If he stays in this game could of been close.
