Ron Jaworski Says the Packers Will Play Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII

After listing Aaron Rodgers as the number one quarterback, Ron Jaworski is once again praising the Green Bay Packers.

Jaws believes the Packers will play the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII, but he doesn't list the star QB as the Packers main driving force. Instead, he believes rookie Running Back Eddie Lacy will carry the Packers to the championship.

How about Rodgers and Lacy. I've got to say guys I have a really good feeling about Lacy he seems special. Probably one of our top 4 most important offensive players

He had such a great line to run behind at Bama that I had my suspicions about him as a pro. I'm not near as worried now after watching him run through tackles. If he runs well enough to make the play action a threat again, does that mean the offense can make up for the D's lack luster performances? Can we simply outscore everyone but the Chiefs and Giants for some reason again this year? Man, I hate the Giants.

After watching Lacy against the Rams he compares to me with John Brockington ,a beast,many here don't know who is but in his short 3 years he was best back in NFL.Really we need Lacy for 3-5 years as I believe after then the window closes for Rodgers

And with the rules protecting QB's now I could easily see seven or eight more years for Rodgers. The days of pile driving a QB into the turf like someone once did to Bradshaw are over.

I think what would prevent Rodgers from going longer than seven or eight would be his desire to do so.

Rams didn't want to tackle him that s a huge difference from couldn't. Packers had a similar runner in my lifetime. Granted I was two when he retired in 1965. Jim Taylor. That man ran angrily he ran heavy. A load

You don't think Ahman Green was a Load?! That guy had more power in his 220 lbs. At that size he ran under 4.4 40. Ahman was very much a load and ran "heavy". Not to mention that he was a physically punishing RB who was very good to great in every aspect of the game.

He's very ..very athletic. But to be considered one of the best I think you need to be quite a bit more accurate than he is.

And a whole lot more time at the helm of the team. Part of a season and a playoff loss doesn't equal anything.

I am worried. Yes he has talent, A LOT of talent; but we all know that only gets you so far. His mental make up background scares me and seeing him on the bench, he looks like he is at a job that pays well, but you dont necessarily like. Thoughts? Hopefully I'm completely wrong.

imagine how good the Packers could be this year if their line was even average.

alas.

12'll have to deal w/ getting sacked somewhere around 60 times and Lacy will be dancing his ass off behind the LOS just to average 3.2 ypc.

Bakhtiari - Sitton - EDS - Lang - Barclay

just stare at that for a few seconds and let it sink in.

yikes.

Better than last year, I'd say.

Bak > Newhouse
Sitton = Sitton
EDS > Saturday's corpse
Lang = Lang
Barclay < Bulaga (might be closer to a push with how poorly Bulaga played at times)

I do wonder what the side switch will do to the running game this year. Sitton moved to the left with Bulaga in order to have a better running game over there (partly). But with Bulaga out and Bak not being great at run blocking yet (from what I read) the left side may not be good for running again. But with Barclay, who I understand to be a good run blocker, at RT now with Lang next him, who can be hit or miss, it's possible that the right side won't run well either. With Bulaga out now, I wonder if it would be better to put Sitton and Barclay back together and at least have one side that can run block well. I don't know, I hate moving guys around all the time, but I would hate to get these new runners that we're excited about and then not be able to block for them.

It's a good point. I think the ship has long sailed on moving Lang and Sitton back, however.

And to add to Evan's analysis - Lang2013>Lang2012 because last year after week five he played with a torn elbow ligament.

I will say Bulugas injury really screwed the pooch in regards to the line. A BB - Sitton - EDS - Lang -Bakh line would have been pretty good. And with Newhouse and Barclay as backups.

I am more worried about our D Line. No pass rush means Arizona's 4th QB can pick apart our defense. Pre-season or not, that was nerve wracking to watch. This 'bend-but-not-break' defense that Capers is running will probably cost us a Superbowl ticket again this year.

Assuming D. Jones can get his ankle healthy (shouldn't be too big a problem) I think our D-line could actually be a strenght. Which would be good for everybody.

Yeah, and by the time their 4th QB was in, the Packers d-line was populated by guys who will be cut in a few days.

SHUT UP COW WHAT DO YOU KNOW? Finley is a playmaker,like it or not, Brad Jones is a pretty good ILB, Nick Perry is talented and will be way better than Walden. Morgan Burnett is one of the better young safeties in the league and McMillan is pretty good too, and a physical baller. SO PLEASE COW GO AWAY TROLL WE ALL HATE YOU!! YOU SUCK!

Did u know Packers gave up less sacks after Bulaga went on IR! And a lot of it had to do with Pack running a lot more! Which is exactly what will happen. Cow stop being such a downer. Lots of teams have Oline issues. Cowboys. Dolphins. Falcons. Giants. Rodgers will not get sacked close to 60. It's football. people get hurt. At least our GM tried. Drafting offensive lineman in 1st round in 11 and 12. Instead of busts like AJ Jenkins! I thought 9ers can do no wrong??? We are just unlucky in the oline department but we are all optimistic. What will u tell us next? There is no GOD???
