Rodgers Speaks, Reporters Listen and Write Things Down

QB1 sat down with Ty Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Rob Demovsky of ESPN on Tuesday.

Aaron Rodgers made the rounds with some of the beat guys yesterday, most notably Ty Dunne and Rob Demovsky

Money quote from Dunne's interview:

That's what I try to pass on to the young guys — how important it is when you leave this place, to uphold the legacy of the guys who played here before and realize when you're out and about you're representing the Green Bay Packers. That's a privilege and that's a special privilege. And then on the field, it's about consistency. It's always been my approach every single day in trying to be a leader and trying to be as great as I can be. I strive to be a great player and a good leader and go out there every day and be as consistent as possible and let my play do the talking.

Not much gets made of the emphasis Rodgers places on reaching out to his younger teammates, but one can't help but think part of this is a reaction to not only Favre's whole "My contract doesn't say I have to mentor Aaron Rodgers" nonsense, but also how the old gunslinger was in his later years, when he was dressing by himself in a separate locker room.

In other breaking news, Rodgers thinks the Packers have the talent to get to and win the Super Bowl and will be disappointed if they don't.

Actually, both posts are well worth your time. Be sure to check them out.

I am so proud to have this guy leading my team. I hold no illusions that he isn't a normal human being, but sure seems like a good one.
