Love the site and the podcast, but do we really have to bash Brett after every mention of Aaron’s performance? Brett will always be an all-time packer great regardless of his performance with the Jets or Rodger’s perfomance with the Packers. I happen to believe that Aaron will be a great QB in this league and the change was just a decision between this year and the next several. No one can believe that Rodger’s is going to play up to the level that Favre would have this year, but we are set again at the QB position for years to come. That’s why the decision was made, I just wish everyone would be honest and say that, instead of finding ways to tear down Brett.

I think the percentage of the playbook they’ve been running might have more to do with injuries than with Rodgers grasp of the offense. They’ve been down to three receivers most of the time and had Grant out for a good portion too. Also, not having your starting center could potentially change play calling as well.

That being said, if our o-line doesn’t start blocking someone it doesn’t matter what play is called.

Rainman - thanks much for the kind words. As to your overall point - where did I bash Favre? I mentioned that he threw 6 touchdown passes yesterday and that he was running a much more complex offense last season. Was I upset by his behavior during the summers drama? You bet. He was acting like a spoiled kid and a huge diva. But as I’ve said, I know in years I will look back and with great fondness. But right now, I’m much more worried about Rodgers and the offense than I am about Favre.
