Yawn. AR does this kind of stuff every single week...

Call me when he (deservedly) wins league MVP.

I'd settle for sequential SB MVPs. What an excellent athlete, player and person Mr. Rodgers brings to our neighborhood.

So the Broncos are so terrible that Aarons performance doesn't warrant any national attention? I had thought I read somewhere on Sunday that no QB has ever thrown for 400 plus yards, had 4 passing TDs, and rushed for 2. That seems like kind of a big deal. Had it been a tougher opponent more respect?

I think Rodgers got plenty of recognition. Not in the level of "whorish, asskissing, ESPN made" recognition Favre, Manning and Brady gets, but still plenty.

djbonney138,

While it is without question an excellent game for a QB to get 400+ yards, 4 passing tds and 2 rushing td's, and it is a fact that he's the first QB to do it...

It's phoney-baloney trivia derived from some guy at a terminal, adding in different criteria to find an "exciting fact" to throw out to the public, IMO.

It's like, 'so-n-so is the first undrafted RB to rush for at least one TD in each of his first 4 games in sub 42 degree weather

You realize you are attempting to compare an accomplishment with 3 variables (undrafted, weather, first 4 games) to an accomplishment with 0 variables.

Wow everyone. I just thought Aaron had some pretty fantastic plays and should have been acknowledged for it. The other story lines were about how terrible QB's were this weekend (Romo, Sanchez, and Flacco. etc.) I will just add I thought Rodgers had a great game and the shows I get in Idaho didn't discuss that.

# of yards, # of passing TD's, # of rushing TD's... Aren't variables?

Whenever they start talking about "First so-n-so to do these two or three different things" it's all about variables.

There could ten different QB's who put up 399 yards, but also threw for 5 passing TD's and 3 rushing TD's, and the statement about Rodgers' performance would still hold true, he was the first to throw for over 400/4/ and 2..

The NFL telecasts are chock full of trivia "stats" that are nothing more than the product of a guy at a database starting with a broad spectrum and whittling it down via adding variables until they get the solution down to a "the only player to..."

Rodgers game was phenomenal, can't take that away from him. But I'd ignore combination "stats" like this one.
