Rodgers, Matthews and Nelson in Top 50 for Merchandise Sales

Three members of the Green Bay Packers have finished the 2013-14 year among the top 50 in the NFL in licensed merchandise sales. 

According to the NFL Players Association, quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished fifth, linebacker Clay Matthews 14th and receiver Jordy Nelson 43rd in overall sales from March 1, 2013 to February 28th, 2014. Eligible merchandise includes any product officially licensed by the NFLPA and sold in retail or online, such as jerseys, t-shirts, bobbleheads, photos and player murals. 

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson finished first in the rankings. He was followed by by fellow quarterbacks Peyton Manning, Colin Kaepernick and Robert Griffin III. Rodgers rounded out the top five. 

Matthews came in as the third defensive player on the list, behind only Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. 

Nelson was the ninth highest receiver on the list. The top receiver, Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions, came in at No. 20. 

The Dallas Cowboys led the NFL with five players on the list. The Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers each had four players.
