Return to Green Bay for Woodson, Jones Highlights Packers Preseason Schedule

The Packers will host Charles Woodson, James Jones and the Oakland Raiders on Friday Aug. 22 in a nationally-televised game on CBS.

The Green Bay Packers announced their 2014 preseason schedule on Wednesday, highlighted by a return to Green Bay by players like Charles Woodson and James Jones when they host the Oakland Raiders in Week 3.

Week 1 at Tennessee Titans, Aug. 7-10

The Packers preseason opener will take place on the road for the third time in the past four seasons when they travel to LP Field to take on the Tennessee Titans.

It will be the first exhibition meeting between the two clubs since 2009, the last of eight consecutive years the two teams played beginning in 2002.

Week 2 at St. Louis Rams, Aug. 14-18

For the second consecutive season, the Packers will travel to play the St. Louis Rams on the road.

Week 2 will also mark the second of two straight road games to open the exhibtiion season.

Week 3 vs. Oakland Raiders, Aug. 22 7:00 p.m. CT (CBS)

The only week to have an exact time and date set in advance will occur in Week 3 when the Packers host their preseason home opener in a nationally televised game on CBS.

Viewers nationwide will be able to see a return to Green Bay by former players like Charles Woodson, James Jones, C.J. Wilson and others that signed with the Raiders in free agency. Many of them were attracted by Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie, a former front office executive for the Packers.

Week 4 vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Aug. 28

The Packers will conclude their preseason schedule with a game against the Kansas City Chiefs for a fifth straight season.

Because every NFL team plays their final preseason game on the same day, an Aug. 28 date has already been set but the time is still to be determined.

If Charles Woodson doesn't want to come and see me, I'll go see him.
