Report: Clay Matthews Fined for Blindside Hit on Russell Wilson
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews received a steep fine from the NFL on Thursday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN:
Clay Matthews was fined $22,050 for the illegal blindside hit on Russell Wilson after an interception in NFC Championship Game.

Matthews received a 15-yard penalty in the second quarter for the hit on Wilson following an interception by safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
Thanks to the penalty, the Packers should have started their drive in the opponent's territory at the 41-yard line, but instead started on their own 44.
The ensuing drive was killed when Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw his own interception.

How hitting someone in the front can be a blindside hit is totally beyond me...
Call it what it is NFL, a hit on the QB we non-deterministically disapprove of. I'd appreciate the honesty.
