Lacy should be next. Starks was ahead of him. And Lacy said Starks was better. Why keep Lacy? Re-Load.

Starks had a longer career than a lot of backs who never get to sniff the post season, he has a SB ring so he did pretty good for himself, the Vikings probably called him already.

With the releases currently and in the future, the Packers still could resign a player later. However, I beleive the Shields and Starks releases point to the Packers wshing to move on. Regardless of the circumstance, I wish them both well!

Aaron Rodgers hand would likely be absent a SB ring if it were not for James Starks. GB fans owe a debt of gratitude for that likelihood. Jimmy was a great backup RB.

That all being said, Ted did what Ted does and a la AJ Hawk gave Jimmy one contract too many. Last season GB should have invested in a decent and young second string RB, an heir apparent to Jimmy. Instead they gave an aging vetetran with a history of injuries and nothing left in the tank 3 million big ones.

A great example of why GB got the shit kicked out of it in the NFC championship and Tom Brady hoisted another SB trophy. We signed James Starks. BB went after James White.
