In the lead up to last year’s NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers were rumored to be interested in swinging a deal for Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy.
No such rumors will fill the airwaves in 2013.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Browns agreed Monday to send McCoy and a sixth-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for both a fifth- and seventh-round pick.
The Browns have dealt QB Colt McCoy to the 49ers. Another QB on the move

McCoy was a hot name in Green Bay for a stretch last April.
After the Packers lost Matt Flynn (who, ironically, was also traded today) in free agency, Bill Huber of the Packer Report was told that Green Bay was “considering” a move for McCoy. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen later reported that a “very good” source within the Packers organization told him no such deal was ever in the works.
Nevertheless, the McCoy-to-Green-Bay talk should now be officially dead. The former Texas star will head to San Francisco, where the 49ers needed a backup after dealing away Alex Smith.
