Preseason Schedule Released

The Packers 2010 preseason schedule is up.

Check back this afternoon at 3pm EDT for the release of the Packers preseason schedule.

How much do we want to bet they end against Tennessee?

UPDATE 1: The Packers will reportedly host the Cleveland Browns either August 13th or 14th according to WFRV.

UPDATE 2:

  1. Packers host Cleveland weekend of August 13th
  2. Packers visit Seattle preseason Week 2
  3. Host Indianapolis in prime time, Thursday, August 26th
  4. Packers visit Kansas City preseason Week 4

That's right. No more Tennessee.

UPDATE 3:

At first glance, I really like hosting the Colts for the third preseason game, when starters always play the most. Should be a good measuring stick for the secondary, not to mention the team in general.

Preseason? Lame. Let's get to the meat of the season already. Damn NFL, seems like they are in the business of stretching things out now. First the draft, now this.

bigfog - Of course they are. They are currently the only professional sport that leaves you wanting more, no matter how much you get. That's why they stretch these things out. The MLB has tried to do something similar by stretching out all of their individual awards after the season, but after a 162 game season, nobody cares.

Figured as much.

All in all, I think it was a terrific schedulle. Starts with a weak opponent, goes to a tougher opponent, really test us agains Indy, at home, and ends against an easy team.

It should preserve our players' health while testing our weak spots...

(Yeah, I know, replying to my own post... So what?)

Oops! Aaron already guessed that one. I guess I should read a little more carefully. I guess its just been hammered into my skull when I think see the word "preseason" I automatically think the Titans.

Pretty sure I remember hearing something about the Titans and Packers no longer ending every preseason against each other. Something about the way they both approach the game. Tennesse plays its starters 3 quarters and the Pack plays their's for one drive. Guess we'll find out in about an hour.

Are they gonna annouce what date Family Night is too? Best deal in sports IMO.

Wow...no Titans this year. A Thursday nighter against the Colts on ESPN?
Browns, Seagulls and Chiefs. YAWN. Thankfully, this is preseason. The true test will be regular season. It aint gonna be easy.

Holmgren and Peyton at Lambeau. That's nice. Still just a way to evaluate performance of the lower tier players. That's always fun.

I don't put too much stock in preseason bet week 3 against the Colts is just about perfect. They should be a pretty good judge for how much we improved on what were probably our biggest weaknesses last year. Three quarters of Manning against our secondary and Freeney/Mathis rushing the passer will be a nice little litmus test.

preseason is preseason great way to judge young talent and up coming players. I know I was overly confident that the packers would smash the cards in the wild card game since they beat them down twice before and well we all know what happened with that.

Wow. I don't know what I'll do without the annual ass-kicking the Titans starters lay on our scrubs. Anybody see who the Titans get to slap around this year?

According with nfl.com, the Titans got:

1.Tennessee Titans at Seattle Seahawks
2.Arizona Cardinals at Tennessee Titans (ESPN)
3.Tennessee Titans at Carolina Panthers
4.New Orleans Saints at Tennessee Titans

So, do the 2nd/3rd string trainers get evaluated by how well they help Justin Harrell off the field at the Browns game?

Haha, SOOOO true. Hopefully we all did last year. We looked unstoppable, then week 1 and Alan Barbre happened.

I must say, Nagler tried to warn Packer Nation. Although deep down, I think he was just covering his bases, his boner was as big as the next guys (he'll never admit it though).

If anybody's gonna make it to the Seattle game, give me a shout. Meet up, have a beer or 10.

I went to the Cards game last preseason and we went up by like 3 or 4 td's with the first team. It was my first and only packer game. Soooooo much fun. I thought we were super bowl bound for sure.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Then week 1 hit and I drank half a handle of cheap gordon's vodka mixed with crystal light, cheered my ass off when aaron threw the td to jennings. Then threw up everywhere. Permanently died my buddies carpet bright pink from the crystal light. Hahaha good times. I'm starved for football season to start!!!!!

That's some good shit right there.

Dude, when Rodgers hit Jennings week 1, I lost it. That was my favorite play of '09. It would've been 2nd, if that same duo could have hit that walk-off in Zona (so hard to swallow).

I'm with you though, ready for some football. Getting pumped for the draft.

I'm going to the Seattle game - come hell or high water. I complain about pre-season too, but the Pack isn't getting far enough west for me to see them otherwise this year - so I'll just shut up, not complain about it this year and go see the Green & Gold. YEAH!

My schedule will get cleared for the Seattle game. Only a 6 hour drive to watch our laundry play their laundry? Worth it any day! NW Packer Backers had a parking lot reserved for a Packer tailgate for the Monday night game a few years ago. Maybe we can all meet there for a Leinie Fitzcore and Found?

I got a case of Classic Amber in the garage right now... I'm in.

I know the lot you're talking about. There were a bunch of NW Packer Backers (especially from Western Montana) there for the game in '08 as well (Rodgers first year starting), good times.
