Positive Things from BringBackBrett-dot-stupid
By coreyb
I wanna be positive about something positive. We called it a stupid website and idea when it happened and lost "fans" and received hate mail because of our position- man I love hindsight- but thank goodness SOMETHING positive came out of the whole charade- a book...about what Brett means to Packer Fans. Thanks guys..

No, no. You were right. It was stupid, and still is.

This hippie, feel-good book should burn great in my fire during the winter months.

If you ever struggled to understand the psyche of these Brett-First 'Packers fans', this video should clear things up quite a bit.
Seriously, Wow, and a bunch of other exclamations that don't quite fit the sickly and awed feeling that has overcome me suddenly.

My lord, I just followed the "lost fans" link and read a few of the message board posts.....
_________
I had NO IDEA there were idiots out there who thought that 'Bringbackhewhosnameshallnotbespoken.com' actually had anything to do with Brett Favre being re-instated and flying back into Green Bay. God, how embarrassing for them.. Those people must have pooped their pants when Brett spent a 4 hour meeting with MM and literally two days later was traded to the Jets.

I wonder if any of those same people have finally admitted to themselves that Brett Favre really DID want to be a Minnesota Viking in July of '08, or at least that the Vikings really WERE tampering with him and it wasn't just an evil Ted-Thompson smear campaign to discredit both the vikes and Favre.

Oh my god - was that Linda Richmond?

Be happy that none of those people are your neighbors......
_____________
However, take note: many of the hard-core Brett-First ‘Packers fans’ usually replicate themselves many times over on blogs & forums..... Multiple IDs are their strategy to appear like many when they are only one..... Emotionally deficient even on a good day.

Yikes. Get out of there, Amy.

It's not a bad idea, really...back in March 2008, I had some thoughts myself, given that he'd been my QB since age 8. I think the timing is piss-poor, though, given everything that happened in the last two offseasons. I'm sure that for the letter-writers, there was some catharsis and healing in the process of putting all their love for him out there. But for the readers, especially after the ugliness, reading this book has to be extraordinarily uncomfortable...like watching a first date break down in tears during a sappy movie. It's just not good.

I wonder how many of the people who's letters are in that book would like to tell Brent to F-off now that he has made the move to the Vikings.

Ladies and gentlemen, the bottom line is that we are not "true Packer fans". Brett has clearly defined that "true Packer fans" would understand his move to the Vikings...haha
