Poppinga Attacks the English Language

Maybe it's me. Maybe it's just late. But I thought the below, from Jason Wilde's story on the competition between Brad Jones and Brady Poppinga, was hilarious.

Brady Poppinga was on top of his conversational game Wednesday. In the span of five minutes, he delivered a Biblical reference, drew a bizarre evolution metaphor involving some sort of pterodactyl, slipped into his professional wrestler shtick and used the word “dude” at least three times. The Green Bay Packers can only hope that the veteran linebacker gets after quarterbacks the way he was attacking the English language.

I was watching this right before I saw your article. And cracking up.

Poppinga is amazing. He needs his own show.

Is it just me or when he says “cmon, is it even a question!” he looks just like Jack Black?????

I wonder if his nick name in the locker room is “The Dude”

Is it any wonder why Kevin Green gushes about the guy? Anybody that knew the personality (actually he had several personalities) of Kevin Green knows Poppinga is Kevin 2.0

Yeah, now if he was only as good at rushing the QB and pass coverage as he is in the media sessions…..

He sounds like a serial killer… eekk!!

Saw the video before this blog was posted, and I couldn’t stop laughing…”cmon, is that even a question?” He is hilarious to listen to, and sounds like the other players get a kick out of him. I just wish he would back up his talk about how he is an animal and a natural pass rusher. We definitely need another pass rusher opposite of Matthews.

Nobody thinks he might have a valid point when he refers to how he had to hold back in Bates’ sterile and passive scheme and how he couldn’t play the way he was best?

I think we’re going to see tremendous improvement from both Hawk and Popp this year. Seriously, AJ Hawk had a great year and rewatching last years games he definitely started to let loose halfway through. I think both he and Popp will evolve from dinosaurs to birds this year
