PFT: Where\’s The Love?

Aaron Wilson over at Pro Football Talk has linked to our video of Donald Driver – and not mentioned Cheesehead TV. I mean, seriously, WTF? This from a site that goes on and on about not getting credit for stories that it ‘breaks’? Un. Real.
Filed Under: Cheesehead TV • Fan Fest • Football Blogs

Horse manure no doubt but then again the NFL spends way too much time on youtube whining about illegal video highlights.
As the owner of a packer site and forum I don’t mind saying publicly that CheeseheadTV and Packers lounge are the leaders in covering the Pack. As for PFT there an off shoot of TSN (my long time stomping ground).Go read there site and you will see that 90% is just wire stories or reconstituted news from places like CheeseheadTV.
We ALL know who made that video..kudos to you guys for a top notch job !!
People doing CHTV wrong lately.
I hope you guys are keeping a log of all these story thefts. It will really help you get sponsorship later on. The day might come when you want to go bigger/better and nothing shows a sponsor/investor your worth more than imitation. Nice job guys (although I’m really not surprised)
Sue ‘em
You complain so much about “plagiarizing.” This is the environment bloggers like you have created. the blogosphere is one giant mobius strip of links and borrowed ideas. Get over it and quit whining. I used to read this site for Packers news. I’m deleting the RSS feed because all I get is self-righteous chest thumps and pouting.
Adios.
To paraphrase Ralphie’s dad in Christmas Story: “Sons of Bitches”
Don’t worry fella’s, I’ve got your back.
Hey, “Stop Complaining”, give the guys a break. They thump their chests in maybe 50% of the blogs, tops.
There, glad I could help you guys like that. If you ever need any other help, just let me know.
Wait Stop. No one anywhere said the word plagiarizing until u did. I believe Aaron is talking about credit- although I don’t really care. As far as I’m concerned I’m happy with the link. Anyone that goes to that link in 2 seconds can subscribe to our video channel- its all good.
BTW- All the haters. Could you please hate on our Youtube page as well? Just make sure to give high ratings and lots of comments. That would be most excellent.
using a video someone filmed themselves – a non-professional – and not giving them credit – that’s a load of shit. i don’t care what ‘universe’ you’re a part of.
i have no problem with you making the theft public knowledge. we don’t pay to read your site, you bitch as loudly as you like.
can i borrow $500?
Guys: I think whenever a YouTube clip is embedded onto a site, the credit is at least somewhat implied. I almost never see bloggers post a YouTube clip and then add on a quick: “Hey, before viewing — please give some love to Biff Bindlestiff Productions, the fellas that put this interview together. Granted, I’ve never heard of them, but I would like to acknowledge their contribution to the YouTube landscape before proceeding. Thanks.”
I know, I know. The moments past and I’ve calmed down. Just find it funny that the clip has ‘CHTV’ plastered all over it yet was designated a ‘clip that was immortalized on You Tube’ – yeah! By Cheeshead Muthafuckin’ TV!
If it’s any consolation, before even clicking on the clip, I pretty much assumed it was a Cheesehead TV clip…
MC: It’s not so hard to say ‘The guys over at Cheesehead TV managed to capture this clip from the recent Packer Fan Fest’ and include a link to the site. It’s not a big deal, you’re right, but when you’re using content that another site has obviously created, it’s not that hard to tag them with a link as a thankyou.
shootz- I totally agree. I have now made it easier for any blogger by including the ORIGINAL post link first in our Youtube video description.
