You'll get to know him one day when the Packers eventually let him go- maybe in 4 or 5 years- and the Vikings pick him up, hoping to catch some of that Packers magic in a bottle like they always do.

Once again we see our GM and HC putting a draft choice above a proven player. Yes I understand it was the USFL but he won the Championship and played a lot. They handed the the QB2 to Clifford on a silver platter and did not give McGough a chance. McGough has played 7 preseason snaps. I hope McGough gets picked up after the cut and given a better chance from a team that appreciates his skill and game. I really hope that Love does not get hurt because we will find out that Clifford should not have been drafted. Gute could have drafted him in the 7th to make sure he got him.

It's pretty obvious you didn't attend any practices. #8 has steadily impressed, whereas #17 has consistently been inconsistent. Even in drills without any pressure.

Preseason games are only one snapshot of the evaluation process. Our #3 O has had him running for his life and obviously that's not a valid comparison, but neither is one needed. #8 has shown everything you could ask for in a backup QB who's a rookie, drafted in the 5th round.

Give #17 more time with the playbook and he might prove much more capable, but he came in so late there was never really much chance of that no matter how much he studied. Similarly #8 has not had much time compared to any QB in GB. I'm still surprised they even considered a rookie for the position. JL10's sheer command of the O is glaringly obvious, and VERY different from both.

Hopefully neither is needed this season. Both have equal opportunity to continue learning. Mr Magoo has a wonderful opportunity to step into this league, staying right in GB.

You are right I have not attended practices because I do not live locally. So how many practices did you attend. I would rather go with a proven leader with a lower level professional team that won the championship than a 5th round rookie that was graded at an UDFA.

I hope the only time we see Clifford is in mop up duty because he is not ready for prime time. By the way I did not cheer for Alex in the USFL last season because i did not want BHam to win again. He showed that he can play.

Believe what you want but this is another case of the GM and HC doing everything to keep a draft pick. We have seen it before. Who says we keep all three. Alex will probably released and some team might pick him up.

It's like you haven't watched any Packers preseason games. Or read any accounts of preseason practices.

It's almost like you're completely ignorant of the facts and you're just running your mouth spouting off nonsense that makes it instantly apparent to anyone who has actually followed the Packers through camp that you have 100% zero idea what you're talking about.

Continue on.
