#PackersDaily: Exorcising ghosts at pick 25
The last time Green Bay chose a player with the No. 25 pick was in 2004 when it selected CB Ahmad Carroll out of Arkansas. Time for Brian Gutekunst to write some new history with the 25th pick.

Carroll was picked in 2004 by Mike Sherman. TT returned from Seattle to take over the following year. I think that ghost and his boxing gloves is pretty much laid to rest.

IIRC, it was kind of a trend back then to have a head coach who also had GM duties. You know, the old “the guy who cooks the meal gets to shop for the groceries” thing.
I also remember Sherman signing FA Joe Johnson at defensive end, and the move was immediately heralded as great. GB was thought to be getting a guy who dominated vs both the run and the pass. My god, it couldn’t have turned out worse!

I remember Joe Johnson from New Orleans I think....and all the fan fare, I believe he blew out his shoulder early in the year played hurt for awhile then went on IR for the rest of the year... not sure if he came back the next or not...
