I think for the first time in several years the first order of business is to lower our ( fans) expectations.
While it’s still early in the season this looks like a different team than the past few seasons. The receiving corps doesn’t scare anyone, and the running game will never carry the load with this QB-HC combo. The defense has struggled at some point in every game even though all but one opponent was offensively challenged.
Special teams seem at least average ( for once ) although Amari Rodgers seems to be playing his way to oblivion… and it’s still hard to trust Crosby outside of 40 yards.
I’m not sure if our cap situation would allow us to add a linebacker or wide receiver.. if Gutekunst had the ability to find help.
After the crushing losses as the one seed the past two years , getting smacked around by the Giants doesn’t seem so shocking.
This team doesn’t play well against well coached high energy teams. The Jets are an improving squad. Home field may not be enough.

"and it’s still hard to trust Crosby outside of 40 yards."

Crosby hasn't missed a FG all year and is 3-3 from 40+ yards out, with a long of 48.

So ML seems to think pre snap urgency is a leading cause of collapse against the Giants..
hmmm.. I was thinking post snap ineptitude.

I don't really know what they can improve. Rodgers is pig headed about spreading it around so covering who the go to guy is makes that easy to defend.
The run game is only taking you so far.
There is no pass d doesnt exist. It's the Achilles heel Rodgers can't make up for this year.
Overall this team lacks a lot of talent. Plus LeFlower is in denial and isn't facing reality.

A frustrating loss for sure but don't count me among those who think the sky is falling. Adjustments need to be made. Shelf Amari Rodgers and get some PT for Samori Toure. Pull Royce Newman and put in a better RG/RT combo. Newman is good run blocker but gets beat too often in pass pro. Listen to Aaron Jones and lean on the RBs more. Aaron Rodgers may be a great QB but he can't run the routes and catch the ball for the receivers. Give him time to throw with receivers running better routes and the passing game will improve significantly.

On D, play Jaire on best WR. If Jaire goes to slot, Rosul Douglas moves to corner. Start dictating more on defense and stop being so predictable. Even great players can be taken advantage of if the D is obviously selling out on the run or pass. Get Devondre or someone else to light a fire on the defense. Other than Gary, they all seem to be playing pretty chill and making slow or bad decisions. A couple of cheap jersey grabbing penalties wiped out great plays by defense up front. Maybe the ST coach needs to help light some of these players up. Self-inflicted mistakes killed the Packers more than an issue of talent gap. All can be cleaned up.

All of this makes sense, but it assumes that they will adjust. And there is no indication that the coaches and Rodgers will ever do that other than when forced to by injuries They have no plan and thus far the team no Identity.

LaFleur on getting the RB's the ball - "I’ve got to do a better job of making sure that we’re getting those guys the necessary touches and not putting him in all those situations."

Immortal words of Yoda - "No. Try not. Do… or do not. There is no try."

Save the speech coach! You've been saying the same broken record since last year.
