I'm to old to have patience. The NFL is No longer Draft and development. It has changed. And it will change to where Major League Baseball is. TEAMS WILL MOVE!! The player of today will want money "regardless" who he plays for. The Rich will become richer. Playing Football will be about a CONTRACT year. You only have to look what happened to Montgomery to know that. If a player is not a starter, he'll leave. Club be damned. You want them to have three years. But it won't turn out that way. Especially for the guys selected in the top 100. Have we drafted CBs out of need? Or the pay scale. After all; Shields, Williams, Hayward, and Hyde, all had to get it from another place. The draft is now hype. And management has turned it into their fix for vacancies/negotiation leverage. So just forget the development and Loyalty. The choice currently is; Play for a winner or take the money. That ring will get smaller and smaller. And All-pro won't mean squat.

GB is a pure, though bad at times, Draft and Develop team, The problem is without Rodgers everyone would see how bad the Develop part is over the drafting. The develop needs to be improved big time because FA will never be the savior many want it to be. FAs worth the money aren't coming to GB and never had, and the Reggie and couple after him are no longer viable to use, as it's been way too long since an elite FA came to GB. We got lucky with Woodson as every team at the time believed him to be done, GB took a shot, and it paid off.

TE, i've been think'n the same thing with what GB's done in the past decade or say, even 2. God spoke to Reggie and i don't recall how the fabulous Chuck Woodson came to GB. Other than that, recently who has come to "titletown" that've made a good impact--i would say offhand, Z Smith and probably Amos.
Let's not forget the collapse of the 2014 NFCCG (MM's fault essentially) and not getting it done all these years with AR @ the helm. Sorry, but i give MLF both credit and a pass since he's new to the NFL HC'ing frat and has done exceptionally well. Gutey has proven, IMHO, to work the roster much better than his predecessor in his short stint. I claim to be much happier with these two and ole Russ Ball working the contracts, but also am more or less content with back to back NFCCG's. But for a couple questionable coaching calls, GB appeared to be going to another SB. Even as young a MLF is, i'd much rather him being the HC back in 2014 as he'd have had control over his charges in the last 4:00 plus left, ahead 19-7 and possession. Green Bay once again had the ball and went 3 & out twice--that's what needs to be corrected with a razzle dazzle, or something that can retain possession. Poor late game mgmt and situational awareness. Against TB, we are reminded, they again went 3 and out twice (after the INT's), but the clock and score were quite different.

You don’t draft and develop when you have Favre and Rodgers that’s why they have 1 super bowl each.

Even with them GB needs the Draft and Develop to be a huge success. FAs don't want to come to GB. It's like a dead end to other possibilities. Besides Rodgers, who is getting the ability to brand themselves in other markets. Which player on the Packers is making national TV commercials besides Rodgers? Which players is making the rounds on the sports shows?
Adams may walk to a big market to cash in on what he isn't getting in GB, market brand money. If I'm Adams and GB don't get it done this season, I'm going to make a brand in the big city teams commercialism and cashing in big.

Draft and develop works great and its one of the best ways. Works out great for the PACK for a reason. Like you can see in the last 30 years. Without draft and develop AR would never landed here in the first place.
The dunning-kruger crowd here likes to act like the dunning-kruger crowd. They dont know better.
But that BS "nobody wants to GB" is dumber than anything. Money is always 99 percent of the decision and if you have a good team its even better. The small market stuff is long gone and complete nonsense, of course. So may not even know about new media and global village.
And why should Adams just stay here if we dont win? then its still a small market!!! Dunning-kruger neandertaler causal chains.
But hey...... we are in the mix every year......and no team has a better run than us besides NE.
But yeah....Tampa...... There must be one lucky team every year, that does not makes them worldbeaters. Like always has Tampa a lower chance than the Pack to win it all. Way lower.
