#PackersDaily: All we are saying is give The Quads a chance...

AJ Dillon's production fell off in 2022 but if he's given more opportunities and the offense catered to his strengths a bit more, they'd find a much more productive back week in and week out. Aaron chats about this and all things Green and Gold with Packers fans worldwide.

I agree with ya Aaron and I’ve agreed all year. If it’s 3rd and 1 and you have him running out of an I formation rather than throwing the ball…he gets that hard and then some. If by some reason it’s 4th and 1… ya do it again and he’ll get it. ALL the play of teams do it a lot or sneak it. Gross underutilization of the position. Have seen a lot of good things out of Goodson…he should be in the rotation also. But either way …you run it on 3rd and 1….a designed run and emphasize it like other teams do. Belicheck will bore the shit out of games running it…but it’s effective and wins games. All those 13-3 seasons…it was because the run game was effective and enabled play action. Sure, Rodgers numbers were down…but they were winning. This year it just felt like the passing game was forced…..by AR. On Defense…ya gotta be able to get pressure with 4.

Yes, I have always thought that Goodson deserved to be used more. I want a 3-man rotation of him, Taylor, and Dillon next year. Jones will likely be a cap casualty

Fire Ben Sirmans. - The RBs regressed.
A new coach is needed.

Yeah, Aaron Jones totally didn't have a career year, and AJ Dillon totally didn't spend 2/3rds of the season taking SHOTGUN handoffs (eyes on you MLF)...

A new HC who knows how to utilize his players' strengths and call creative plays is what is really needed.

Serious Nags - You've seen the trend of QB sneaks with guys pushing the pile right?

I absolutely hate the pushing of the QB from behind on QB sneaks. (It used to be illegal.) I don't know when the rule change happened or who was behind it, but I hate it. This isn't Union Rules Rugby.

How long is it going to take before we see a HC come out after a touchback with 11 offensive and defensive linemen come out with a guy like AJ Dillon or Big Dog taking the snap and everyone just pushing him forward for 40 yards? That would be my opening day formation next season until a defense can figure out how to stop 10 300 lb men pushing one guy 265 - 350 lbs carrying the ball.

Now, I know it sounds stupid, but if you have 7 - 315 lb OL guys on the line, a 300 lb guy taking the snap, and 3 - 315 lb guys pushing him from behind and holding him up, how could a normal defense with safeties and CBs stop them? It may only work once, but until you figure out a way to stop forward progress, they're going to keep going, legally... (Might be MaLF's best play and offensive alignment.)

I think the rule ought to be changed back before the game ends up being Rugby with pads... We see it happening every week now and I for one hate it...

LOL! That's funny...made me chuckle! I also don't like the "pushing" rule. It makes QB sneaks near impossible to stop

To me its just observation, he is built to be a bull in a china shop and they are using him to break through a hole in the line that closes quickly. The guy lacks first and second step quickness.

Gutt says they try and draft people who can play two positions and he is a runner and pass blocker.
The problem is better to have someone who can do one thing really well then two things average.

Bottom line there are 15 guys in the draft who can run faster and better then him, he aint nothing special.

No he isn't special..another GB cult figure...rather mediocre as far as RB's go...so he's got big legs, they don't help him pick a hole to scoot through...

It is not often you find a 250 lb RB. He can POWER through people! The problem is he doesn't do well when he's taking shotgun handoffs! EYES ON YOU MLF

Faster doesn't mean better. Dillon has POWER
