“Getting the chance to drive alongside some of the greatest racers in the world is truly a dream come true,” said Nelson. “I couldn’t think of a better place to do it than at my home-state track, Kansas Speedway.”
A native of Manhattan, Kan. and alumnus of Kansas State University, Nelson will be taking a break from the midst of the Packers' offseason training program in May to take part in the NASCAR event.
Taking place the same day as the third day of the NFL Draft, Fox will televise the Kansas 400 nationally at 7:30 p.m. CT.
