Packers Will Reportedly Open 2012 Season vs. 49ers
According to Tom Silverstein, Green Bay will host the 49ers on Sept. 9 to kickoff the 2012 NFL season.

According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the Green Bay Packers will open the 2012 NFL season with a home game against the San Francisco 49ers. Silverstein confirmed what many have speculated through a league source familiar with the schedule.
Source familiar with NFL schedule confirms #Packers will open against San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field Sept. 9 at 3:15 p.m.

FOX Sports' Chris Meyers first tweeted about the possibility of Packers-49ers being the late game on FOX to kickoff the season.
#NFLexpected to release regular season schedule this week...possibility the fox big game kickoff weekend will be 49ers at packers..

The rest of the NFL schedule is set to be released at 6:00 p.m. CST Tuesday.
