Packers Will Receive Super Bowl Rings On June 16

The NFL has reportedly granted the Green Bay Packers an exemption to the league’s no-contact policy so they can receive their Super Bowl rings in a ceremony being held at the Lambeau Field Atrium on June 16.

“We’re looking forward to having an evening for the players, coaches and organization to recognize the victory in Super Bowl XLV,” said Packers president Mark Murphy in an article appearing at the Packers official website.

The evening will mark the first time the entire team will get together since the post-Super Bowl activities immediately following their victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Lord I hope there is some under the table exchanging of plans from Mike to Aaron or Woodson… or both. Something they can tell the young players Coach wants ‘em to focus on individually until this gets ironed out. I’m not in the least worried about the vets, we do however have some really green 2010 undrafted F.A. who weren’t with us all of last season, so they may not know what is expected.

It would be great to include the draftees to get them pumped for the upcoming season, do a little bonding, etc.

I understand why this is a private event, but I wish it weren’t. It would be great for fans if the ring ceremony were held in the stadium. Heck, it might be the only time the fans get to see the players all together this year.
