Packers vs. Vikings Game Predictions from CheeseheadTV.com

 GAME PREDICTIONS Week 2

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings

Name Record   Pick Prediction
Adam 1-0 Green Bay Packers 26-22
Eddie Lacy runs for 100 yards and James Starks scores late on a screen pass to ruin the grand opening of Zygi's new dome.
Jersey Al 1-0 Green Bay Packers 23-13
This will be a battle of field goals and turnovers. The Packers avoid the mistakes the Titans made last week while forcing some Minnesota turnovers. The Packers' defense keeps Adrian Peterson under control and picks off Sam Bradford twice to setup a short field for the Packers offense.
Andrew 1-0 Green Bay Packers 27-14
The Packers are facing a tougher QB than Shaun Hill, but Sam Bradford is only two weeks into learning his 4 billionth offensive scheme behind a poor offensive line. While I expect Adrian Peterson to look better than last week, it's not going to be enough to keep the Vikings in the game.
Cory 1-0 Green Bay Packers 27-12
With a leaky Minnesota secondary, Aaron Rodgers will be up to his surgical best. Only way the Vikings stay close is with a special teams and/or defensive score
Jason 1-0 Green Bay Packers 19-13 (OT)
It's another down-to-the-wire contest for the Packers. somehow.  Maybe it's opening U.S. Bank Stadium or maybe Adrian Peterson is looking to make up for his worst game as a pro.  Regardless, the Vikings throw everything they have, and more, at the Packers and look to prove that last year's division title wasn't a fluke.  It's far from a shootout with Minnesota's defense in Aaron Rodgers' face all night and the Vikings still unable to generate much offense.  If it goes into overtime, it would be Green Bay's first regular season overtime win since 2007.
Jayme 1-0 Green Bay Packers 28-24
The Packers defense showed holes last week against the Jaguars, struggling to stop Jacksonville through the air. With Sam Bradford slated to make his first start for the Vikings and the highly skilled Peterson at running back, the Packers defense which was stronger against the run last week, might be able to have a better showing on Sunday night but doubtful they'll completely shut down the Vikings offense. The Packers offense should be more in sync this week, and hopefully improve each week. Packers should win.
Michelle 1-0 Green Bay Packers 21-20
We saw four games in Week 1 end within one point, and Vikings-Packers will be a similarly hard-fought matchup. Ultimately, however, the Packers defense will come through and contain Adrian Peterson enough to pull out the win.
Ross 1-0 Green Bay Packers 31-23
People probably give the Vikings a little too much credit for last season's success.  Everything outside of a Rodgers injury that could go wrong for Green Bay a season ago, did.  Minnesota also played one of the easiest NFL schedules, especially on defense. If the Packers are truly one of the best two or three teams in the league (and the national media seems to think they are), they need to win this game against a Vikings team still in transition.
Zach 1-0 Green Bay Packers 24-10
With Sam Bradford expected to get the start, Packers should have no problem loading the box and stopping AP. The middle of the field will be targeted in the pass game, however. Packers still pull away en route to their home opener.
Mr. X 1-0 Green Bay Packers 33-13
The Vikings had a super weak schedule last season and still needed a lot of luck to win some of those games (and the division). While their defensive front seven are very good, if Rodgers can continue to extend plays as he does, he will pick apart their putrid secondary. The Packers leave a nasty stain on the Vikings Bird Kiler Stadium debut.

I like these predictions but I don't think it will come down to the last possession.

Minny's offense is, quite simply, putrid. Their OL sucks at run blocking and pass blocking. They have 1 WR. Their RB is no longer an all pro. Their QB is made of glass and not all that good when healthy.

Their mediocre LT is hurt. Their best CB is hurt. Their 2nd best 3 Tech DT is hurt.

Other than that, they're great.

Pack rolls by 10 or more.

I hate to see a sweep like this on a game prediction. So as not to jinx it....Vikings win by 3 26-23. In the Dallas News almost 80% when they all agree that one team will win....they lose. Can't have it happen here.

Last week they were also unanimous and Packers win. Left superstition behind yourself. Go, Pack, Go!

Big difference in the quality of these two teams at present. The Vikings are likely to improve somewhat as the season goes on, but will look inept against the Packers in week two.

Prediction: Packers 31 Vikings 13

Hey cOw, You make me laugh. I'm actually glad to see you back.

Seeing as how I left you off the hook last year on our bet, what is your prediction for GB this year. I'm sure I will take your bet.

I up voted you twice for that post LVT. I think it's a great idea but Cow never responds to the challenges. He also never follows through with his promises, Sitton is still gone but Cow isn't.

Apparently none of you warch football other than the packers. Vikings will dominate them with a run game and short passing game into the packers pourus and offensive pass defense. Bottm line, vikes are loaded on d with low round draft picks and the pack have giys who couldnt be second string on most teams.

Yup, that Patterson guy is tearing it up isn't he? This years top pick Treadwell didn't even log one snap, not one last week. Let's not forget the dominating performance by AP last week either.

So tell me, do you "WARCH" Football? I think you need to pay a little more attention to the Vikings and less to Peg, Bud, and Kelly before you criticize anyone else.

BTW... Obviously the Packers don't have any "GIYS", but neither does any other team for that matter.

The new stadium will be rockin' and I don't expect this game to be easy. The Vikings will be motivated to give their all. But the Packers leave Minneapolis with a win: 20-13.

Can't wait for the Lambeau West era to begin. This will be like another home stadium for years to come. Pack rolls 38-20.

I feel sorry for the CB who has to replace Xavier Rhodes. Rodgers and Co. are going to go after him all day.

The Viking Oline is suspect. I see a hit like this putting a quick end to Sam Bradford's time as a starter for the Vikings.

Sorry Haters , Packers in a blowout which is every Vikings fans worst nightmare including the Viking fans here and there are quite a few, Peterson will do what he does best in big games , fumble and Lacy will run through the Vikings secondary like he has done on the past.

Sam Bradford and Shaun Hill combined can't keep up with Aaron Rodgers. As long as the Packers do not turn the ball over they will roll, 34-13 Pack. Thanks, Since '61

Bradford has very little Mobility in the pocket and a suspect O line will leave him hanging out to dry! Shaun Hill won't be any help, he's Farting Dust at this stage of his career! 30-10 Packers!

What's it like being so terrified of failing to meet expectations that you have to predict utter failure to protect your fragile emotions?

Are you terrified of everything in life, or just the being let down by a football game outcome?

What a horrible way to live.

Close game. Whoever wins the TO battle wins the game.

No wonder all the homers show up here. All the "experts" pick GB in a game at Minn. between the defending North Champ and the Pack. --- Please --- a little less bias and more football knowledge.
