Packers TE Ryan Taylor Undergoes Knee Surgery
McCarthy: Ryan Taylor had surgery (on his knee) today. Went well. He'll be on the front end of the length of time,no more than a couple weeks

Taylor's injury came as a surprise, having gone unreported in the immediate aftermath of the Green Bay Packers' game at the Baltimore Ravens this past Sunday.
The Packers would appear covered at the tight end position after promoting fellow tight end Jake Stoneburner to the 53-man roster on Tuesday when room was made by placing Randall Cobb and Greg Van Roten on injured reserve.
Currently, the Packers have five tight ends on their roster.
The loss of Taylor will be felt more than anywhere else on special teams, especially in light of his blocked punt in Week 6.

seriously?
I guess that makes me feel a little better about him leaving because he wouldn't have been able to play with us anyways.

I don't think that 'feeling better' is a proper choice of words when you're talking about a serious injury to a 7th round rookie who may cost him his football career. I know you didn't feel that way. I hope he can fully recover and sticks somewhere

This in part explains the Stoneburner elevation. The injuries are so numerous, they seem to grow minute-by-minute.

We are so unlucky with injuries that even the PS guys are injured. That's pathetic.

Its not luck... The athletic staff doesn't know how to stretch bones so they don't break!

Good time to dump this guy. Pay his bills and get rid of him. He is a nothing of a player. Couldn't catch a cold standing naked in the rain let along a football.
