Packers Suggest Three Candidates for Election to Board

Three candidates have been presented for election to the Packers Board of Directors as part of the proxy information being sent this week to more than 360,000 team shareholders.

The candidates are Philip B. Flynn, president & CEO, Associated Banc-Corp, Green Bay; Michael J. Haddad, president & CEO, Schreiber Foods Inc., Green Bay; and Elizabeth (Betsy) Trowbridge, M.D., associate professor of medicine, associate vice chair and division chief of general internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison, Wis.

“The Packers are delighted to present these candidates for shareholder vote,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. “I’m excited about the significant, varied expertise that these three individuals will bring to our Board.”

There are three open spots on the board of directors as three members will take on emeritus status: John N. MacDonough, John C. Meng and Michael R. Reese.

Shareholders, of course, don't have to vote for the suggested candidates, but those voting by proxy will. The vast majority of shareholders vote by proxy.

The three new members of the board will be made official during the annual meeting held July 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Lambeau Field.
