The day after the Green Bay Packers were eliminated from the playoffs, they signed six players on the practice squad to future contracts, meaning they'll be part of the team's offseason 90-man roster.
The six players are running back Orwin Smith, wide receiver Alex Gillett, center Garth Gerhart, cornerback Antonio Dennard, guard Andrew Tiller and tackle Aaron Adams.
Only two players weren't signed from the practice squad when the season ended: wide receiver Tyrone Walker, who led the team in receiving in the preseason, and guard Lanier Coleman.
Gotta wonder what it is about Walker that regularly leaves him on the outs.
No kidding! I remember him from the preseason too. He didn't look bad; and with jones' contract up in the air I wonder if walker has character issues.
It's possible he didn't want to sign, perhaps wants the freedom to look around for another opportunity.
