Packers Scrap Plans to Practice in Pads
#Packers were not in pads today. McCarthy said yesterday that they would be in pads. Perhaps injury issue changed his plans.

With 12 players listed on this week's injury report on Wednesday, it appears Mike McCarthy's mind was changed about practicing in pads on Thursday.
The list presumably got at least one player longer on Thursday with cornerback Micah Hyde not participating on Thursday.
While injuries are factoring into the decision not to practice in pads, Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel points out one major drawback, not being able to get the players returning from the PUP list practice in a padded environment.
Derek Sherrod, Jerel Worthy, Sean Richardson and J.C. Tretter all missed training camp and the many padded practices that go along with it, which isn't helping in getting them ready to return to action if healthy.

Too many pads had a pulled epaulette and there were not enough available to equip 22 guys on the practice field.
Pepper Burruss is not sure what happened. He swears they stretched those epaulettes good...
