Green Bay Packers first round draft choice Datone Jones publicly acknowledged through his Twitter account on Monday he’s training with writer and broadcaster Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

Let me be up front in saying I am making several assumptions based upon a single tweet from Jones, but I’m not exactly going out on a limb by coming to the conclusion is that the Packers rookie defensive lineman is doing mixed martial arts (MMA) training with Glazer.
Glazer’s previous training sessions with several NFL players out in California has been well documented in the media, including Packers linebacker Clay Matthews in 2011.
As Glazer noted in a video produced by MMAthletics in 2011, Matthews joined him in training in the time period shortly after the Packers’ offseason program ended, before the start of training camp.
That’s where Jones finds himself now, as he enters his first year in professional football, and expectations will be that he makes a significant contribution to a Packers defense that is looking to improve both against the run and the pass.
