Notably, the Packers did the same thing in 2011 when other teams wanted to sign wide receivers Tori Gurley and Diondre Borel late in the season.
Tolzien knows that even though he’s on the practice squad, he’s essentially the Packers’ third-string quarterback and only an injury away from being their backup.
