Packers Question of the Day: Expectations For Sunday

The Packers head into Cleveland to face the winless (0-12) Browns in what many believe to be a trap game for the Packers, who are still fighting to stay relevant in the NFC playoff race.

If the Packers win in Cleveland this Sunday, Aaron Rodgers is set to return the following week in Carolina and help continue the Packers' quest to "run the table" for the second consecutive year.

What are your expectations for Sunday?

I expect victory. Nothing less. I realize the Packers could lose this game but as far as I'm concerned there is no excuse for losing this game. The Browns have won one game in 2 seasons. What does that tell us?

If the Packers lose TT should resign or be fired immediately for not being able to field a team that can defeat an 0-12 team, with or without Aaron Rodgers.

MM needs to have his team ready and not allow the Packers to play in a funk until it's too late.

I expect the Packers OL and front 7 to dominate both sides of the LOS. If we can't do that against the Browns what hope do we have of running the table or winning a playoff game if we get that far? I realize that we will not blow out the Browns without AR but we should achieve a solid and convincing victory. Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since '61

I expect the kickoff to happen at noon. Once that happens, I don't really have any expectations.

I hope the Packers play well and play hard. If they do, I think they will win. But I can't say that I'm expecting that they will do any of the 3. Aside from issues raised by the past performance of the last 6-7 games, there is the potential that the anticipated return of Rodgers next week will have the team looking ahead to that, instead of focused on clearing the hurdle that is in between now and then.

No amount of Dom Capers incompetence or MM nutty play calling and clock management will be enough to permit the dog and pony show that is the Browns to prevail. Another ugly win for the Packers.

The smart way for them to play GB would be to stack the box, play the read-option tough, keep Hundley in the pocket and make him pass all day. That means the Browns will not do it.

Can the Packers allow Kizer to play like Kaepernick did against us in those first few meetings? I'm sure they can and why this game ends all hope.

It's going to be hard to watch and hope they lose just to get management changes. It would be nice if they started firing people now so I could really root for them again.

Philbin and MCado have both flopped. MM still backs Hundley. How much more evidence does management need to get rid of MM? DC's reputation now speaks for itself over the last 5 years.

I'm tired of this. Isn't winning a SB more important than building a park next to the stadium?

"Isn't winning a SB more important than building a park next to the stadium?"

Yes. But they are completely unrelated to one another. It is silly to suggest otherwise.

I expect Kizer to have his best game yet and for Josh Gordon to have a big day and celebrate by smoking some weed and getting suspended for the 20 th time. Or maybe not.

The Browns should have an easy strategy. On defense, contain Hundley so he has to throw, which he can't and on offense, light it up and throw against an undermanned GB secondary. If Cleveland does that, it should be an easy win for them.
