Packers Promote Chris Kirby to Video Director

Chris Kirby has been promoted by the Green Bay Packers as the new video director following the retirement of Bob Eckberg from the same position, general manager Ted Thompson announced on Wednesday.

“On behalf of the Packers, we want to sincerely thank Bob for his contributions to our team over the past 32 seasons,” Thompson said. “He has been a loyal and hardworking employee. As the second video director in the history of the club, there have been many changes in his field over time and he has managed it all seamlessly. Bob’s experience and his ability to manage his department will be missed. We would like to wish Bob, his wife Terri and his family the best in retirement.”

In addition to Kirby, Andy Muckerheide, who is entering his 14th season, has been promoted to assistant video director, and Mike Halbach, who is entering his 11th season, has been promoted to manager of football technology. Nick Goddard was hired as the Packers’ new video assistant.
