Packers Practice Report: Rodgers Suits Up But Does Little

The Packers quarterback reportedly did next to nothing at Wednesday's Christmas Eve practice.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was suited up and present for Christmas Eve practice on Wednesday but didn't do anything in the portion open to the media, according to Jason Wilde of ESPNWisconsin.com:

Rodgers strained his calf during last Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, although he reportedly took part in practice on a limited basis on Tuesday. The Packers are in the midst of preparations for Sunday's upcoming match-up with the Detroit Lions.

As you might infer, reporters are not allowed to stay for the entire practice period, meaning it's possible Rodgers would eventually take part:

The Packers will release their first injury report of the week later on Wednesday afternoon, followed by a press conference with head coach Mike McCarthy, so more information may be learned at that point.

Backup Matt Flynn entered the game on the final three plays when the Packers were in victory formation this past Sunday.

UPDATE: Rodgers was classified as "limited" on the team's injury report.
